Acoustic Blankets & Rolls: Quilted Fiberglass

Construction Sound Barrier Blankets: Quilted Fiberglass Panel

Quilted Fiberglass Panel Absorbers reduce the reflection of sound waves by adding soft, porous, open-celled materials to any environment. IES – 2000 LLC’s Quilted Fiberglass panel products like sound barrier blanket, construction sound blankets consists of various configurations of facing and fiberglass thicknesses to provide solutions to a plethora of applications. Wall panels and overhead baffles are constructed with all edges bound and grommets across the top. Rolls are available 4’ wide x 25’ long and can be supplied with edges bound or unbound. Applications: Typically used when you are trying to reduce the reflection of sound waves or reverberant noise energy within a piece of equipment, a room, or a building. Also used to supplement plywood structures on job sites to improve the transmission loss of the wood as well as to reduce reflected noise on the construction side.

By adding porous and soft materials to any environment, quilted fiberglass panels help reduce the reflection of sound waves. At IES 2000, we offer high-quality fiberglass sound insulation solutions consisting of various configurations. The configurations include different thicknesses and appearances that provide solutions to various applications. Besides, overhead baffles and sound barrier blankets are constructed with all grommets across the top.

We have quilted fiberglass panels that are high performance, fire-safe, and durable. They can be used to reduce reverberant airborne noise and are an excellent alternative to urethane foams. This is because they possess high mechanical strength, exhibit low fire emissions, and are Class A fire rated. Besides, they have a wide temperature range. You can also clean them, and they are unaffected by oils, dirt, dust, humidity, moisture, and most chemicals. Our construction sound blankets have extremely long service lives, will not degrade, and you can install them easily.

Applications of Qualified Fiberglass Panels

  • Quilted fiberglass panels are used in reducing reverberant noise energy or the reflection of sound waves within a building, a room, or a piece of equipment.
  • It is also used to supplement the use of plywood structures on job sites. They typically help reduce reflected noise on construction sites.

Acoustic Curatins - ABA

acoustic curtains

The ABA “Barrier septum Composite” is a non-reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier sandwiched between two layers of fiberglass. A variety of facings are available including our standard industrial grade vinyl facing, an economy scrim facing and a silicone facing for high temperature or outdoor applications. Curtain quilted fiberglass panels are typically constructed with grommets across the top and mating hook and loop closures on the vertical edges.

Rolls measuring 4' x 25' are available with edges bound or unbound. All products have a Class A flammability rating (per ASTM E-84 ). Use as a divider wall when separating two noisy areas that require absorption. Use to line the perimeter of a building Use anywhere a decoupler/barrier/absorber is required. Vinyl facings are available in white, tan, black, or gray Diamond patterns or straight stitch patterns are available.

Acoustic Curatins - BA

aba acoustic curtain material

IES 2000's “BA” composite features a reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier with a quilted fiberglass sound insulation absorber on one side. The rugged durable exterior barrier is commonly used as a wrap or acoustical jacket due to its ability to conform to any shape. The quilted fiberglass panel layer decouples the noise barrier to enhance its acoustical performance. IES 20O0, LLC BA's Noise Barrier/Sound Absorber Composite offers the benefits of a noise barrier and a sound absorber composite. The BA consists of a vinyl-coated-fiberglass-cloth facing on 2” quilted fiberglass that is bonded to a reinforced 1-lb psf. loaded vinyl barrier.

Curtain panels are constructed with grommets across the top and Velcro along the vertical edges. Rolls are available 54” wide x 25' long and can be supplied with edges bound or unbound (note: barrier is 54” wide, quilt is held 3” in from each vertical edge, and measures 48”).
